Campfire Magazine first discovered our OPUS Camper a few years ago, and it soon featured in a review of ‘cool campers’. This time they comment “Our winner, by a wide margin, is the utterly fantastic OPUS. So, why the OPUS? Well, for its looks, its ease-of-opening, its build quality and its all-round versatility. Price isn’t bad either. In appearance, it’s a mix of a safari tent and sci-fi – airy, spacious and with options and accessories to suit family size ( four to ten berth) and your camping and outdoor life. The kitchens are beautiful, the beds comfortable and the sitting/dining room made for socialising. What’s more, the new AIR OPUS inflates itself in two minutes. It’s lightweight and low-profile and the racking system means you can load it with bikes, kayaks and more for your travels.
Taking to the Live Stage on Sunday 22nd October the crowds gathered in anticipation for the product reveal. Katy and Brett from OPUS HQ introduced the Off-Road Concept, using AIR pole technology to inflate the camper. Due to expansion across Europe the Off-Road Concept is intended for production in due course. Following the reveal Steve Groves, Winner of Masterchef: The Professionals used the external pull out kitchen of the Off-Road Concept to cook up a tasty mackerel and herb salad taco. Steve commented “If I was going to cook outside, this is the kind of set up I would want. Its nearly as well equipped as my kitchen at home – it’s a breeze!”
Anyone who sees a car towing an AIR OPUS may think that it is a normal folding camper, but nothing is less true. In this trailer there is luxury accommodation that inflates in around 90 seconds using an internal pump.

Any seasoned camper knows that there’s nothing worse than having to set up a tent in the pouring rain, or even worse, in the dark. So, the British-designed camping brand OPUS has long been on a mission to make camping easier and launched their first trailer-to-tent vehicle some years back.
Air OPUS camping trailer inflates into a home away from home in 90 seconds. When we first discovered the British-designed OPUS camping trailer back in 2013, its combination of compact pop-up construction and comfy interior design made it one of our favourite campers of the year. Since then, the OPUS has gotten a few extra tricks up its sleeve including an all-new tent inflation system. With its integrated air poles, the new inflatable AIR OPUS trailer tent sets up in about a third the time of the original.
While we love camping more than most other getaways, there’s one part of it that we just don’t enjoy. We’re talking, of course, about pitching a tent. Dealing with the ill-fitting canvas exteriors, trying to tame the long and unwieldy poles, and driving stakes into the unwilling ground can turn any campsite oasis into a nightmare. But what if your tent could set itself up? Well, then you’d have the AIR OPUS Camper Trailer.
We’re big fans of OPUS and their handy trailers, which double as a platform for the integrated tent as soon as you get to camp. As awesome as it is, thought, setting up your camper does require a bit of manual work. That won’t be the case with the new AIR OPUS, which uses inflatable tubes for the poles, allowing the tent to automatically set up in just 90 seconds.
British Brand OPUS has introduced AIR OPUS, the world’s first self-inflating camper tent to make it easier to setup a camper in any conditions.
Air technology has made its way into OPUS camper. These rugged looking campers just ooze adventure, and when they are packed away, they are a perfect platform for bikes and canoes. This is our sort of trailer tent! When set up it is clear that this is a trailer tent. However, you’ll be blown away with the interior of the OPUS.
